Winter 18/19 Trends
Hey, it's Molly here with another blog post! As you can see from the title this post is going to be some of my favorite or most popular winter trends for this season. Now you may be thinking, wow this post is it a little late considering it's already February, and you would be correct. I'm doing this post now because I think it's helpful to have some fashion inspiration in the deep months of winter when it is easy to lose outfit motivation. This happens to me post Christmas time when I have new winter clothes, I tell myself 'I'm gonna put lots of effort into my style this winter!', and eventually by February I feel like I need fresh ideas. Sound familiar? (Ok maybe that's not a relatable scenario but just go with it for the sake of the blog, thanks lol) Anyways I will stop talking now, hopefully this post helps re-inspire you for new winter looks or gives you ideas of how to use pieces you probably already have to be on trend this winter season!
Puffer Jackets and Statement Coats
- Coats have been a main focal point this season, make a statement with a faux fur coat or a colorful puffer jacket. Puffer jackets are one of my personal faves this season as it's a cute look because they can be oversized and cropped but also keep you warm!

Fuzzy Coats and Cardigans
- Finally cozy styles are back in! I have seen the fuzzy trend worn in zip ups, three quarter length sweatshirts, open front cardigans, and in many more variations.

Air Force 1 Shoes
- This is a style I don't normally wear but seeing how others have dressed these up with sneakers and cool top has really inspired me!

Small Sunglasses
- Sunnies are the new go-to accessory, I will admit when I first saw the really small and thin glasses on Instagram I wasn't a fan, but I have started to warm up to them. I still believe the suuuper small ones are kind of impractical, unless you're Kylie Jenner and pair them with biker shorts and can still somehow look fashionable. The glasses pictured here are only slightly smaller than average sunglasses.

Patterned Pants and Skirts
- Patterned bottoms are easy to look dressy or casual when you pair it with a plain top, I am especially loving the plaid skirt and checkered pants trend!

Athleisure
- Athleisure has been popular for awhile but it's been sticking around this winter season, athleisure is nice because it looks like you just came from the gym wearing trendy workout clothes but you are really just going to Target. It's a super versatile and comfy trend, my favorite place for athleisure clothes is FP Movement by Free People.
